Dhanbad, the most populated city in Jharkhand, is home to countless homeless and abandoned people who face unimaginable hardships every day. For them, winter is more than just a season—it’s a battle for survival. Children, elders, and entire families live on the streets and in slums with barely any protection against the biting cold. Many share a single worn-out blanket or use thin plastic sheets to shield themselves from freezing nights. The result? Lives lost, dreams shattered, and hopes diminished.

At Sahadeva Foundation, we believe no one should have to endure this cruelty. That’s why we’ve launched a mission to provide warmth and comfort to those who need it the most. Starting with just 50 blankets, we’ve been overwhelmed by over 1,500 requests from desperate families, abandoned elders, and vulnerable children. We’ve witnessed firsthand the smiles, tears, and gratitude of those receiving their first source of warmth in years.
