Sahadeva Foundation – New Education Center
There is an area far away from the city where there is no source of education at all. Around 300+ families live in this location, and most of them depend on daily wage work. If they get work for the day, they are able to eat. If not, even the children go to bed hungry.
This area is located near a mining zone, which makes the environment very dusty. Because of this, many children suffer from health problems, breathing issues, and poor nutrition.
In this area alone, there are around 500–600 children who do not have access to education, nutritious food, or basic facilities.
Our Work
For the past four years, Sahadeva Foundation has been working continuously to support these children by providing free education, nutritious meals, and basic necessities.
Many children who come to us face extremely difficult situations. Some are differently abled — one child cannot speak or hear, and there is a young girl who has lost both her parents.
Why We Added Nutrition
We began our work by providing education. However, after seeing the children’s condition, we realised that education alone is not enough. A child cannot learn on an empty stomach.
That is why we also started providing nutritious food, so that children do not suffer from malnutrition and related illnesses.
Our effort is to ensure that these children receive healthy meals every day, along with education, so they can grow strong and healthy.
