Sahadeva Foundation Stands with Kameshwar Yadav to Protect Children’s Dreams
Born in a poor family in Bihar, Kameshwar Yadav knew from childhood what struggle
feels like.He was the only educated person in his family, carrying every responsibility on
his shoulders. But life tested him early a road accident took away one of his legs, and people
around him began to say hurtful things:
“Ab kya karega? Mandir ke bahar bhik maangega… zindagi khatam ho gayi iski.”

Those words broke him from inside, but they didn’t stop him. He had no financial support
and no one to hold his hand the only strength he had left was his education.
To survive, he began giving tuition classes to children for a very small fee.
One day, he saw a few children begging outside a temple. When he asked,
“School kyu nahi jaate?”
They replied,
“Agar school jaayenge to bhooke soona padega… maa-baap bhik mangne bhejte hain.”
That answer shook him deeply. He knew he had to do something.
From pain to purpose Kameshwar started free classes in a slum to
save children from a lifetime of begging.
He opened a small free learning space in the slum, without classrooms, without
resources — just a sheet roof over his head.He went door-to-door convincing parents,
enrolling children into government schools, guiding them, teaching them.
What started with 10–12 kids has today grown to 300+ children across 3 different area.
For these children, he is not just a teacher he is their protector, guide, and hope for a better life.
“These children don’t need much… just a chance,” says Kameshwar.
“Main bhi garibi aur dard ko samajhta hoon. In bachchon ko sirf pyaar,
thoda sa samay aur ek mauka chahiye. Bas itna hi isi se inka future badal sakta hai.”
Saving children from child marriage, abuse & neglect
A 13-year-old girl from his centre was being forced into marriage.
Kameshwar fought for her like a father, he spoke to the family repeatedly, took responsibility
for her studies, and finally convinced them to stop the marriage.
And this is just one story there are many children whose lives he has completely changed.
But the journey is full of difficulties
There is no proper classroom — just a temporary sheet roof that collapses during heavy rains.
Children study in harsh winters without proper shelter. They often sit with empty stomachs,
so Kameshwar started preparing one-time meals for them, because he believes:
“A child can wait for education, but not for food.”

A little help from you can change hundreds of futures
The urgently need:
- A proper shelter/classroom
- Stationery and study materials
- Daily one-time meal for 300+ children
- Basic classroom items (mats, boards, lights, fans)
