In Dhanbad, Jharkhand, the heart of coal mine communities, daily unfolds a silent tragedy as innocent children meet their grim fate shaped by poverty and lack of opportunities in education. Born to such harsh realities, they are not allowed to grow or develop as they deserve; rather, their future is defined by either labor or early marriages since survival needs have been burdened upon them. Does one's birthplace determine one's future? Are these children at fault for what they didn't choose?
Well, let me introduce you to Anjali, a brilliant 10-year-old whose laughter can be heard through the corridors of our tuition center. Her fragile butterfly wings have been nurtured into strength under the wings of education. However, Anjali's story teeters on the edge of tragedy without sustained support. We are losing not just a job but a lifeline for children like Anjali when we do not ensure stable funding for our teaching staff. Financial uncertainties pressure parents, especially of girl children like Anjali, to prioritize early marriages over education.
