Bihar is waiting for your Help

Severe floods are hitting Bihar, causing all villagers to be stranded with houses and homes destroyed. Residents find themselves with nowhere to go. In Bhojpur, thousands of houses are under water, stopping life as it is known for those families affected. People have taken shelter on rooftops or under tarps. Children are hungry and afraid, and families struggle to remain safe from the rain. The situation is heartbreaking, and there is an urgent need in Bihar.


The floods are affecting homes, schools, villages, and lakhs of people have lost hope. Waters in the Bagmati River in Nepal have dramatically risen due to heavy rainfall, and this has greatly caused flooding in Muzaffarpur and others. More than a thousand homes from 18 panchayats are underwater with many residents cut off from much-needed help. Flooding has ravaged West Champaran, Saharsa, Bhojpur, and Supaul, damaging houses, schools, and farmland. Moreover, the flooding has affected land erosion on riverbank sides, further endangering even more lives and property.

The damage will be in families for years as it will take time to recover their homes, farms, and infrastructure.
